General questions

The European Diamond Capacity Hub Training Platform (EDCH Training platform) provides free learning and training materials dedicated to helping Diamond Publishing Service and Diamond Tools & Technology Providers enhance their skills and build capacity. We offer skill-building training courses and curricula in various areas, including the seven components of the Diamond Open Access Standard.
EDCH Training gives access to structured learning materials aligned with the core components of the Diamond Open Access Standards (DOAS). It helps European stakeholders consolidate knowledge and skills relevant to Diamond Open Access, fostering a stronger and more sustainable Diamond OA ecosystem.
The training platform is intended for the Diamond Open Access community in Europe, including individuals from publishing organisations, service providers, tool developers, researchers, libraries, and trainers. It is primarily developed for organisations included in the EDCH Registry.
Yes, access to courses offered on EDCH Training is free. However, it requires prior registration, authentication and course enrolment.
EDCH Training is managed by OpenEdition, a French-based digital infrastructure for academic communication in the humanities and social sciences, which operates under the authority of Aix Marseille Université and the Centre National pour la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS). Open Edition has a lead role in the Skills and Competences Task Force of the European Diamond Capacity Hub.
